Theodore Anderson was convicted on counts of DUI manslaughter, DUI, possession of cocaine and ecstacy, and driving with a suspended license.

The 2002 accident killed Gregg Howarter, 19, who was just one mile from his Florida home. Anderson was paralyzed, confined to a wheelchair, and suffers brain damage.

The prosecution and defense concluded that Anderson was driving with a suspended license. Howver, the defense argued that there was reasonable doubt as to whether alcohol actually caused the accident.

The jury deliberated for just 30 minutes before reaching a guilty verdict.

Anderson's sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 4. His DUI manslaughter conviction alone could bring up to 15 years in prison.
