27-year-old Christopher Jones fell from the back of a rail car on a Burlington Norther-Santa Fe train and was pinned when a grain hauler and tanker came together, police say.

Jones was pronounced dead at the scene. Emporia police and the railroad are investigating. A spokesman for the company said Jones had worked for the railroad since January.
