Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. Blames Autism on Vaccines

In fact, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has already written an article in Rolling Stone, and he is speaking out publicly on the subject. On July 20th, Kennedy even appeared on The Daily Show with John Stewart to discuss the topic.

Kennedy contends that there is overwhelming evidence that points to a definitive link between autism and thimerosal, a preservative that contains a form of mercury. Thimerosal has been used in many childhood vaccines, and most health organizations say that it is safe, yet some studies seem to show a correlation between the use of thimerosal and rising rates of autism.

The symptoms of autism are similar to those of mercury poisoning. Depending on when children receive their vaccinations, there may be elevated levels of mercury in their bodies temporarily. There is some evidence to suggest that the number of diagnosed cases of autism increased dramatically in recent years.

Kennedy claims that pharmaceutical companies are conspiring to hide the truth, because they are afraid of costly litigation that could follow. He also believes that the government and certain health organizations are helping with the cover up.
