Man Gets 17 Years to Life for DUI Death

Neville Wells, 42, crashed his minivan into Judith Gubernikoff's car in June of 2004.

Gubernikoff, 37, died in the accident.

Wells' blood alcohol level was almost three times the legal limit. The admitted alcoholic had been drinking at bars in Manhattan.

Wells was convicted of murder in May. Typically, DUI death cases result in a manslaughter verdict.
