Lubbock family gets $3.1 million settlement

Deerwood Construction, Trumble Steel Erectors and Trumble Crane and Rigging will pay the family of Richard Tankersly $3.1 million in the agreement.

The family was suing the three companies for $13 million in the death of the 46-year-old Tankersly, who was electrocuted by a 7,200 volt charge from an electrical wire during a construction accident in 2003.
