Man Sentenced to 13 Years for Manufacturing Meth

After 15 minutes of jury deliberation, J.J. Brown of Benton, Arkansas was convicted on five counts of illegal drug activity. He was sentenced to six years for possessing drug paraphernalia, 10 years for possessing meth, 10 years for possessing pseudoephedrine, 13 years for possessing drug paraphernalia with the intent to manufacture, and 13 years for manufacturing meth.

Brown will be able to serve all his sentences at once, within a single 13-year term, and will be eligible for parole after 9.1 years.

Brown's previous record consists of a robbery conviction from 1995 and an arrest from 2003.
