The Coleman Company is recalling over 100,000 gas grills with model numbers 5100, 5300, 5400, 5600, 6000, and 7700. The products were sold from January 2004 through July 2005.

Consumers should stop using the grills immediately because they can leak propane and pose a fire or explosion hazard. Owners can contact the manufacturer for a free repair that will allow the product to operate safely.

In addition, Nexgrill Industries is recalling more than 80,000 of its Charmglow model gas grills after similar problems were reported. The company has received five complaints of fires from propane leaks, and nearly 50 reports of related incidents.

The affected products have the model number 720-0036-HD-05 and were sold from November 2004 through June 2005.

Consumers should immediately stop using the grills and contact the manufacturer for a repair kit.
