Rebecca Price's suit is the eleventh to be filed as a result of the crash, including one on behalf of her daughter Jessica, who died when the Siloam Springs School District bus was driven off an Arkansas highway, slid down an embankment, and came to rest on its side.
The latest suit is on behalf of Jeffrey Price and seeks unspecified punitive monetary damages as well as compensation for pain and suffering, emotional distress, anxiety, permanent injuries and disability, and medical expenses.
The defendants are Thomas Built Buses, Inc., which built the body of the bus, and Merl's Bus Sales, which sold it to the school district. The suit claims both companies were negligent in providing the district a bus that had no seat belts.
A suit has also been filed on behalf of Meng Vang, who was paralyzed as a result of his injuries in the same accident.
