Lee Games, 64, who suffers from hypertension, claims that Gresham Police Officer Jonathan Hardy used unreasonable force to arrest him during a fight with his wife at their home in August 2003, according to court records.

Gresham police had begun using the Taser stun gun in the summer of 2003. The lawsuit claims the city did not properly train the officer in how to use the device. It claims the manufacturer, Taser International, did not caution Gresham Police against the dangers of using the device on elderly people and on those with medical conditions.
