Wilfredo Perez of Hartford, Connecticut was found guilty on several charges relating to the murder of Theodore "Teddy" Casiano, after allegedly hiring Fausto Gonzalez to kill the rival drug dealer for $6000.
Casiano was killed in his car on May 24, 1996, after Gonzalez fired 13 shots from his motorcycle.
Wilfredo's brother, Jose Antonio "Tony" Perez was also convicted on the same charges and is currently serving a life sentence.
A total of six individuals have been charged in connection with the murder of Casiano; a case, which had gone unsolved for years until convicted drug offenders came forward with information in an attempt to shorten their sentences.
