Man Gets Life Sentence for Drug Trafficking

Joel Francisco, 32, of Providence, Rhode Island, received life in prison after being convicted of possessing at least 500 grams of cocaine and 50 grams of crack cocaine for distribution.

Francisco was arrested during Operation Royal Flush, an investigation into drug dealing offenses by members of the Almighty Latin King Nation. Twelve other individuals were charged on counts of drug trafficking as a result of this operation.

Francisco, who is also known as "Joey Crack", had two previous drug felony convictions on his record.
