Tiger Woods filed the lawsuit against the yacht manufacturer for improperly using his name, his wife's name and pictures of his boat for advertising and marketing purposes. After an initial hearing in November, Chief Judge Howard J. Zloch entered an injunction prohibiting Christensen from improperly using the golfer's name and pictures of his boat for advertising or promotional purposes.

In December of 2004 Christensen filed a motion requesting that the court dissolve the preliminary injunction and dismiss the case under a "forum selection clause" in the yacht contract opting for a Washington State Court to resolve disputes; however, it was determined that Mrs. Woods is not a party to the yacht contract and, therefore, not bound by the clause.

Mr. Woods named his 155-foot yacht 'Privacy'.
