Christopher L. Richter of Milwaukee, Wisconsin received a nine-year sentence in federal prison with an additional four years of supervised release after pleading guilty to possessing cocaine with the intent to distribute.

According to an investigation conducted by the North Central Drug Task Force, Richter and two other men drove to northern Wisconsin to sell the cocaine in the Rhineland and Eagle River areas in 2002.

One of the men with Richter, 32-year-old Robert J. Smith, was sentenced in November to more than 15 years in federal prison.

Another accomplice, Robert D. Burgess, 31, pleaded guilty to the same charges and will be sentenced at the end of October.
