Boat Manufacturer Reaches Settlement in Drowning Accident

The attorney for the woman stated that the lawsuit centered on a broken seat hinge. He also stated that there have been other serious accidents because of the defective hinge. The attorney stated that there would probably be additional accidents until Alumacraft announces a complete recall.

John Fletty's body was found 10 days after the accident when a passerby spotted his empty boat circling Lake Menomin.

The case was scheduled to go to court on Monday. Alumacraft was unavailable for comment.
