An attorney representing the family of Frederick Williams said she plans to file a wrongful death lawsuit.

31-year-old Williams died in May 2004 after repeated shocks with the Taser during an altercation with deputies at the Gwinnett County jail. Williams' death and the altercation caught on videotape, brought protestors to the jail who alleged racism, brutality, and a cover-up by the authorities.

The U.S. attorney's office and the FBI had announced Tuesday that there is not sufficient evidence to pursue federal criminal charges against the deputies involved in the incident.
