Lori Robinson in her suit claims that police used excessive force against her son, 21-year-old Andrew Washington. She alleges that police stunned him 17 times during an incident last September.

According to police, officers used the Taser on Washington after he was involved in a hit-and-run incident and then fled on foot.

Robinson's lawsuit is the second suit filed in Washington's death. The first was filed in February on behalf of Washington's young son, against Taser International.
