Families of Indonesia Crash Victims Prepare to Sue Boeing

The crash took place on September 5 shortly after the Boeing 737-300 left the runway in the Sumatran city of Medan. One hundred and forty nine people were killed.

According to Manuel Ribbeck, a representative from Nolan Law Group, a firm specializing in aviation law, the firm is planning on filing the lawsuit in Chicago where Boeing is based. Ribbeck would not comment on the basis of the suit.

Setio Raharjo, head of the National Transportation Safety Board said that investigations into the cause of the crash were continuing and would be completed in the beginning of 2006. Reharjo would not speculate on the cause of the accident and said he was unaware of the Nolan Law Group's plan to sue.
