Inmate's family drops Taser suit

The family had claimed in the suit that the company was responsible for the death of James Borden because it failed to warn jail officers who stunned him that the weapon's shock could kill those with health problems.

Taser said newly filed court papers do not hold it liable.

Taser officials said the case was significant because it was the first such case in which the coroner had ruled the device a contributing factor in the man's death.
