A man was sentenced to 10 months in prison with an additional four years on parole for possessing drugs with the intent to distribute.

Michael Joseph Garcia pleaded guilty to the charges, selling drugs and possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute. When police searched the 43-year-old's home at the Ignacio Senior Center, they found ecstasy, LSD, meth, and marijuana.

Garcia apologized to his neighbors after his arrest.

Garcia's accomplice, 22-year-old Amber Dawn Peterson, was sentenced to three-years in a drug treatment program.

In court, Garcia told the judge he was grateful that he and his accomplice had been caught before they got in too deep.
