Baycol class action lawsuit to move forward

Two Manitoba women filed the lawsuit after experiencing muscle pain and muscle loss after taking Baycol®.

Baycol® was removed from the market in August of 2001 after 31 different deaths were attributed to the drug. Reports found that Baycol® caused serious kidney and muscle damage in thousands of patients. Bayer Inc. later confirmed that Baycol® was linked to nearly 100 deaths.

The firm of Harvey Pollock, the attorney representing the two Manitoba women, will be issuing public notices this year to see if there are others who wish to join the Baycol® lawsuit.
