New Jersey Reaches Multimillion-Dollar Settlements over Groundwater Contamination

The companies worked with state officials to reach their agreements. They opted for cooperating with the Department of Environmental Protection rather than facing potential lawsuits.
Some also offered to donate land to the state.
The agreement will provide New Jersey residents with cleaner water resources and access to more public habitat.
