Anucha Browne Sanders, the Knicks' former senior vice president of marketing and business operations, claims that Thomas made unwanted sexual advances towards her. She also alleges that he used derogatory language with her.

Thomas, a former NBA star with the Detroit Pistons, vehemently denied the accusations. He indicated that Browne Sanders had been fired for her inability to perform the functions of her position. Thomas' lawyers claimed that she had demanded $6 million to leave the club.

Browne Sanders' lawsuit states that she received high marks on her job performance evaluations. The suit contends that Madison Square Garden fired her in retaliation for claiming sexual harassment.
