Search warrants were served early Thursday morning at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and the Palmer Airport. Robert F. Kane, an associate of the company, was charged with failure to register an explosive device -- a rocket pod launcher. FBI spokesman Eric Gonzalez refused to give further details but stated that they did not think terrorism was involved.

Federal agents also served search warrants on the law firm of Avery & Associates. State records list Mark J. Avery as the owner of Security Aviation Inc. Mr. Avery is a former state and municipal prosecutor.

According to the Alaska Journal of Commerce, Security Aviation has more than doubled its hangar space since Mr. Avery took ownership of the company in September.
