Michael "Chris" Hreha received a two-year prison term for the DUI accident that occurred in June 2002. Hreha was driving intoxicated when his vehicle collided with a motorcyclist that was stopped at a traffic signal. The victim, 42-year-old Michael Simac, died four days later.
Judge Bill Alexa sentenced Hreha to four years in jail, but decided to suspend two of those years in place of probation.
The victim's wife, Debbie Simac was relieved with the verdict knowing that the man responsible for her husband's death would serve some time in prison.
