The recalled hair dryer's power cord has no immersion protection plug. If the hair dryer falls into water during use, it can shock or electrocute the user. No injuries have been reported at this time.

From May 2003 through December 2004, approximately 4000 of the defective hair dryers were sold in U.S. retail stores for about $10.

The affected hair dryers are red with a black slide switch on the handle. The word Eusonic is imprinted in black on the dryer's main cylinder. The models involved in the recall are Eusonic 9318, 9329, and 2218.

Consumers can receive a full refund for the Eusonic hair dryers by returning the products to the store where the product was purchased or by contacting California-based Saroj International Inc. at (877) 277-1055 or by email at sales@sarojusa.com.
