Becky Meador's life was turned upside down six months ago when police discovered a shed full of marijuana plants at the home she shares with her husband. Meador, who was voted Teacher or the Year at Park Lane Elementary School, was arrested and jailed for growing marijuana plants with the intent to distribute. She was also suspended from her teaching position.

A judge dropped all the charges against Meador after it became clear she was not aware of the 45 marijuana plants. She says she knew this day would come and she can't wait to get back in the classroom.

"I have trust in our legal system," Meador said, "and I trusted that the truth would come out, and it did."

Meador's attorney, Luke Wallace, said her husband admitted she knew nothing of the plants.

According to Wallace, the plants were kept in a backyard shed that was locked in a safe and only he knew the combination.

Meador said her predictable teaching schedule allowed her husband to conceal the plants from her.

The community's reception to Meador's return to the classroom has been positive.

Charges are still pending against her husband.
