Andre Rison's $64,000 NFL pension confiscated to pay overdue child support

A court-appointed receiver won more than $64,000 in pension funds, money that will go toward whittling down Rison's debt of about $100,000 owed to ex-wife Tonja Rison and their two children.

Michigan Attorney David Findling was appointed to recover Rison's assets in 2002 and for the years that the Oakland Raiders/Atlanta Falcons/Green Bay Packers football star and his representative claimed there was not enough money to cover child support debts. Findling says that though Rison's assets in Michigan are close to nonexistent, the fact that the NFL does business there makes his domestic relations order to tap the pension legitimate.

Rison, who has been jailed over criminal charges connected to his child support debt, also owes $50,000 in child support in Georgia to Raycoa Handley, the mother of two of his other children.
