Man gets life sentence in fatal DUI crash

Marvin Franklin, 58, had an alcohol level almost three times the legal limit at the time of the accident, which occurred near Rabun County, Georgia in October 2004. Franklin was driving his Camaro the wrong way on Interstate 65, when he became involved in a head-on collision with Paul Broussard, 42. Broussard died at the scene.
According to the police report, a pornographic video was found playing on a portable DVD player in Franklin's car.
Franklin, who is now confined to a wheelchair after suffering injuries in the accident, was convicted on murder charges and driving the wrong way. In addition to his life sentence, he has been ordered to pay over $6,000 in fines and court costs.
