One of the plaintiffs, Charles Wilson of Georgia, says he took Lipitor for about a year to lower his cholesterol. He claims that he suffered an array of health problems that can be linked to the drug, including nerve damage, memory loss, and recurring fatigue.

Another man, Michael Mazzariello, says that Lipitor drastically changed his life for the worse when he started to experience muscle and nerve damage as well as memory loss. He only took the drug for two months before the negative health effects set in.

Pfizer has issued a statement that they believe Lipitor's risks have been thoroughly researched in numerous worldwide studies. A spokesperson says that every potential risk affiliated with Lipitor has been meticulously researched and outlined on the drug's label and prescribing information.

If you have taken or are currently taking Lipitor to reduce your cholesterol levels, you should talk to your doctor to determine whether the benefits of the drug outweigh the possible risks.
