Bonner, who played six seasons in the NBA, will pay $2,000 a month in current and back child support to ex-girlfriend Pam Stallings for the couple’s 15-year old daughter. The money has been earmarked to cover past-due child support, interest, lawyer’s fees, medical and dental expenses, and college tuition.

Bonner owed child support dating back to 1996, according Stallings lawyer Mark Kruger. Kruger and Bonner’s lawyer, Adrienne Schaffer, confirmed that the former basketball player could have faced jail time.

Bonner was a first round draft choice of the Sacramento Kings in 1990 after leading St. Louis University to the NIT finals twice. He later played for the New York Knicks and the Orlando Magic. In June, the American Basketball Association’s St. Louis Stunners announced that Bonner would be the team's head coach and assistant general manager.
