Stone, a resident of Oklahoma, was employed as a laborer, pipe-maker, machinist, and quality control manager from 1950-2005.

Harold Stone, Randy Stone’s son, is representing the estate. The suit claims Stone’s employers knew of the dangers posed by asbestos exposure and never-the-less failed to take the necessary measures to inform or protect him. Furthermore, the suit claims the company ignored adequate substitutions for asbestos, failed to provide safety instructions for working with asbestos, and failed to conduct tests on asbestos products in order to determine their hazards.

Harold Stone also claims his father experienced great physical pain and emotional anguish and was forced to spend significant personal funds on medical expenses.

The suit seeks $250,000 in compensatory damages in addition to punitive damages for alleged negligence, conspiracy, and willful and wanton acts, among other allegations. The punitive damages are meant to deter others from engaging in similar misconduct in the future, the complaint states.
