Timothy and Lisa Nordle filed the lawsuit on behalf of the death of their son, Timothy Nordle Jr., 17.

Named as defendants in the suit are Phillips Buick-Pontiac-GMC of Lake County and Joseph Menento, the driver of the SUV. Menento worked as a salesperson at the dealership.

According to police, on Feb. 19, 2005, Nordle was performing a wheelie while riding his 2004 Honda motorcycle along a stretch of U.S. Highway 441 when he collided with a GMC Envoy coming from the other direction.

Nordle was taken to Leesburg Regional Medical Center, where he died.

Police determined that Nordle had been speeding prior to the collision. Menento was not cited in the accident.

The wrongful death suit filed by Nordle's parents seeks damages in excess of $15,000, the minimum amount necessary for a civil case to be tried in Circuit Court.
