John Enerson was charged with two other men in federal district court for possession of methamphetamines. An order terminating the indictment was signed by Judge Gerald E. Rosen.

Enerson’s lawyer says it was a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Enerson admits knowing one of the other defendants, Teddie O’Neal Snead, who is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine. But he says he knows many people and this does not make him guilty of any crime.

Enerson says he and Snead were never in the same location on the date the offenses allegedly took place. Since learning of Enerson’s arrest, the superintendent of Hudson Schools said she never lost confidence in her girls track coach and knew he would be exonerated — it would just take time.

The superintendent is recommending Enerson be reinstated as track coach.

Enerson said he teaches the students he coaches to maintain respect for one another and he hopes what happened will not diminish the respect they have built for each other over the years.
