Illinois Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Collision with Deer

Madey was riding that Sunday evening in rural Riley Township in McHenry County, northern Illinois. As he was riding on Harmony Road, he hit a deer, slid down the road, and ended up on the shoulder. Madey, who was not wearing a helmet, was critically injured and was flown by helicopter to Rockford Memorial Hospital, where his condition remains critical.

Madey was not on duty at the time. According to the sheriff’s department, the motorcycle that Madey was riding at the time of the accident does not belong to the sheriff’s department. The accident is still under investigation.
