Lynelle Kay Hunsaker was riding her motorcycle in Clear Lake when she was hit by a car driven by Roy Wallace, of Tucson, Arizona. Hunsaker was taken to an area hospital. Eight days later, she died of injuries sustained in the crash.

According to police, Wallace was turning onto the highway when the accident occurred. He was cited after the incident for failing to yield while entering a highway. The accident took place on May 9, 2006.

The lawsuit, which names both Wallace and his Wife, Barbara, alleges that they acted negligently, violated Iowa's traffic laws, and are responsible for the wrongful death of Hunsaker. The suit asks for undisclosed damages in relation to the incident.
