The suit was filed last year by the family of one of the victims killed in the crash of Comair Flight 5191.

The airline names the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board, the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Corp., and more than a dozen unnamed employees of the airport in the complaint.

Comair accuses the airport of negligence with airport construction and providing inaccurate taxiway information as well as inadequate lighting and markings on the runway.

The airline asks for some or all liability in the lawsuit to be shared with Blue Grass Airport.

Officials with the airport say the lawsuit is under review.

Last August, Comair 5191 crashed into a nearby field after taking off from a runway too short to accommodate larger planes, killing 49 of the 50 people on board. The co-pilot was the lone survivor.
