Bradley Veteto, operator of Brad’s Lawn Care, claims in his suit that he suffered burn injuries to his ears, neck, back, arms, and face while cutting the grass at a Cahokia residence on June 19.
According to the lawsuit, Mr. Veteto purchased the mower from named defendants Erb Turf and/or Erb Equipment in 2004. The suit claims that the company did not properly inspect the mower prior to distribution. The manufacturer of the mower, Metalcraft of Mayvelle, Inc. and/or Scag Power Equipment, Inc., was also named as a defendant in the case.
Mr. Veteto is seeking damages for medical expenses, pain and suffering, permanent injuries including scarring, and lost wages. He is also seeking an additional $12,000 to cover the costs of purchasing a new commercial lawn mower.
