Russian Woman Awarded $200,000 after Being Boiled Alive
A St. Petersburg student who suffered severe burns over 95 percent of her body on January 1, 2005, after falling into a boiling pool of water that formed as the result of a heating main breakdown was awarded 5 million rubles (about $200,000 U.S.) in a settlement with the communal services of the city.
