Woman Bites Dog

After a pit bull jumped over her fence and began attacking her Labrador retriever, Ella, Amy Rice attempted to defend her dog. After a failed attempt to pull the pit bull off of her dog, Rice resorted to biting the animal.
Rice's bite broke the pit bull's skin, and she got the dog's blood in her mouth. Officials have quarantined the animal. Tests have yet to reveal whether Rice may have been exposed to rabies.
Ella sustained a crushed ear canal and required stitches to the wounds on her head. She is currently recovering.
