Gary Collins, former host of Hour Magazine and Home Show, was arrested around 9:15 Saturday night on suspicion of DUI in Santa Barbara, California. Collins, who reportedly refused a field sobriety test, was taken to the County Jail after taking a blood alcohol test. He and has since then posted bail and obtained release.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Collins has faced DUI charges several times over the years. First, in 2002 in Mississippi, Collins was found not guilty of DUI.

Next, he received his second DUI conviction in January 2008 (at age 70). This conviction stemmed from an accident that occurred in Los Angeles in October 2007 in which Collins was struck by another driver making an illegal left turn. The other driver later died from his injuries. Collins was not found responsible for the other motorist's death, but he pled no contest to DUI and was sentenced to four years probation, which he is currently serving.

Further details on the arrest and expected proceedings are unavailable.
