Actor Scott Siegel, who played a steroid dealer in The Wrestler, was arrested for real-life steroid-related offenses Wednesday night in Eastchester, New York.

According to a police complaint, police had found about 1,500 bottles (most of which appeared to contain anabolic steroids) and approximately $30,000 cash in a townhouse belonging to Siegel's parents. Police found an additional $70,000 at Siegel's home.

On Wednesday, police took Siegel into custody after a high-speed chase in Eastchester. According to the police complaint, during the chase, Siegel (apparently intentionally) collided with five police / drug-enforcement vehicles and attempted to hit an officer who was on foot. Siegel faces charges including attempting to distribute steroids and assaulting a federal agent.

This is not the first time Siegel has faced steroid-related drug charges. According to the DEA, in 1999, he was arrested on suspicion of distributing steroids as well as ecstasy and an animal tranquilizer. In The Wrestler, Siegel's character, Glen, sells performance-enhancing drugs to the movie's main character.
