On Wednesday, a Los Angeles Superior Court Judge issued a restraining order against pop star Britney Spears' ex-boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, who is also a paparazzo.

The order forbids Ghalib, 36, from communicating with (directly or indirectly by phone, mail, or e-mail) Spears, 27; getting within 100 yards of her; or claiming that he represents her interests. The order also protects Spears' parents, siblings, and children.

Spears' father, Jamie Spears, who has legal control over Britney, requested the order in January, claiming that Ghalib (and Spears' former manager Sam Lutfi and attorney Jon Eardley) tried to disrupt Spears' life and undermine her conservatorship. Neither Ghalib nor his attorney has appeared at previous hearings, nor has Ghalib filed objections to the order.

Ghalib also faces felony charges, including assault with a deadly weapon, for allegedly trying to run over a process server who was attempting to deliver documents related to the restraining order. Ghalib has pled not guilty to the charges.

The restraining order is effective until midnight on March 17, 2012.
