On Thursday, Terri Fuller, a mother who placed her son for adoption more than 30 years ago, was reunited with her son, Rustin Hawver. The pair found each other earlier this year through the social networking website MySpace.

According to local news sources, Both Fuller and Hawver have awaited the reunion since January, when they found each other through MySpace. Fuller, who lives in Utah, and Hawver, who lives in Redding, California, had e-mailed and exchanged phone numbers through MySpace before arranging the reunion. Since then, Fuller describes her experience as a "rollercoaster of emotions".

Fuller traveled to Redding to meet her son Thursday, Utah memorabilia in tow. Hawver describes the reunion as a source of closure and the start of a new chapter in his life.

MySpace includes several features that allow users to meet new people and re-connect with old friends. It also has adoption reunion forums, which allows users to search for birthparents and children they placed for adoption.
