Joyce DeWitt, 60, a "Three's Company" star, was arrested on July 4 on suspicion of DUI. The incident occurred in El Segundo, California.

Police pulled DeWitt over around 4:20 Saturday afternoon when she passed a barricade intended to control vehicular traffic near a local park, which was close to the city's annual fireworks show. According to law enforcement reports, the police observed signs of intoxication, including slurred speech and the smell of alcohol. They administered field sobriety tests, which DeWitt did not pass. Police then transported her to the El Segundo Police Department and booked her for misdemeanor DUI. On Sunday around 1:30 a.m., she posted bail - $5,000 - and was released on her own recognizance.

DeWitt played the character Janet Wood, opposite Suzanne Somers and John Ritter, on the hit television series, which ran from 1977 to 1984.

The District Attorney's Office is to review the case and determine whether or not to file charges.
