Actress Robyn Wright Penn Files for Divorce

Actress Robyn Wright Penn filed divorce paperwork in Marin County on August 12 to formally divorce actor Sean Penn. The papers cited irreconcilable differences as the cause for the split. The papers also stated that both parties have already agreed to share custody of their minor son (Hopper Jack, 16) and to division of all property. (The couple has a daughter, Dylan Frances, 18.) Robyn will not seek spousal support and told journalists she has no plans for reconciliation.

The couple has been together since 1989; they married in 1993. The couple filed for divorce twice before, once in 2007 and once this past April, but decided to dismiss the petitions shortly thereafter.

Robyn Wright Penn is best known for her roles in "The Princess Bride" and "Forrest Gump". Sean Penn is known for numerous roles, the most recent one being one in "Milk," for which he won an Oscar. (He did not thank his wife in his acceptance speech.)
