Wisconsin Mesothelioma/Asbestos

Mesothelioma is a devastating form of lung cancer that is caused by exposure to asbestos. Asbestos is a naturally occurring fiber that was commonly used in home, school, and building construction materials, car machinery, fireproofing materials, and a number of other products. Workers who have been exposed to the products in their work have developed mesothelioma, asbestosis, and other asbestos-related diseases. It is important that victims know that those who suffer from mesothelioma may be eligible for compensation.

Industries/Occupations Most Affected by Mesothelioma Deaths

Although many people think of Wisconsin as a farming state, the majority of the state's income is generated by the manufacturing industry. Wisconsin produces the most paper products out of any of the 50 states, and the production of machinery and transportation equipment also accounts for a significant portion of the state's economy. Unfortunately, workers have been exposed to asbestos in these types of jobs. If you work in the Wisconsin manufacturing industry, it is important to be aware of the potential dangers asbestos and other chemicals can pose to workers.
