In 2005, another study confirmed that Mirapex may result in compulsive behavior. This study found that 20 percent of patients taking Mirapex suffered from uncontrolled sleepiness, including falling asleep while driving.

A 2008 study presented at the International Congress of Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders found that patients taking dopamine agonists such as Mirapex are almost three times as likely to develop a compulsive behavior than patients who receive other treatments.
