Corpus Christi electrocution lawyer
As a Corpus Christi electrocution lawyer, I am aware of the terrible injuries which occur when one is electrocuted. Indeed, some very horrible personal injuries occur when there is an electrical accident. The electricity which goes through a person’s body may disrupt nerves and the brain’s motor controls, causing horrific consequences. Also, serious burns and sometimes death are a result of electrocution accidents. These electrical accidents sometimes cause long term personal injuries which may affect vital organs in the body, including the heart, nervous system and brain.

Corpus Christi trucking accident lawyer
As a Corpus Christi trucking accident lawyer, I keep abreast of the issues involving eighteen wheeler accidents. Corpus Christi and the surrounding area is experiencing explosive growth with the recent Eagle Ford Shale drilling. This has brought numerous eighteen wheelers and trucks to the area. Unfortunately, there have been a lot of accidents because of this increase in traffic.

Texas Jones Act Lawyer
As a Texas Jones Act lawyer, I study the details of the Jones Act regularly. This maritime law is named after Senator Wesley Jones of Washington state, who was the author of the Act. Because of the Jones Act, injured seafarers have the legal right to obtain fair and just financial compensation for injuries they suffer because of the negligence of another or because the vessel was unseaworthy. The Act is titled the Merchant Marine Act of 1920, but it is now known as the Jones Act, after its author and sponsor.

Texas Risperdol lawyer
As a Texas Risperdol lawyer, I am aware of the numerous problems with the side effects of this medication. Risperdal is a drug prescribed for bipolar mania and schizophrenia. Risperdal interferes with the communication of nerves in the brain. Risperdol releases neurotransmitters in the brain which helps the nerves to communicate with each other. These neurotransmitters attach to the receptors of nearby nerves, which causes changes in the cells which have receptors.

Houston Cruise Ship Accident Lawyer
As a Houston cruise ship accident lawyer, I represent passengers and crewmembers who are injured due to negligence. Just recently, a major cruise ship accident occurred off the coast of Italy. The owners of the Costa Concordia, a $450,000,000 cruise ship which ran aground and partially sank near Giglio, a small island about 18 miles off the Tuscan Coast of Italy, and killing at least six people, has said that human error by its commander caused the mishap. The Costa Concordia is 5 years old and cost $570,000,000 to build. The ship has state-of-the-art navigation equipment. The ship apparently struck a rock and rolled over on its side in shallow water on January 16, 2012. There were over 3,000 passengers, 120 of which were American, and over 1,000 crewmembers aboard.

United States cruise ship injury lawyer
As a United States cruise ship injury lawyer, I handle cases dealing with injuries to both passengers and crewmembers. Cruise ship cases often have difficult and challenging legal issues for the lawyers in personal injury matters. For instance, cruise ship tickets have a forum selection clause which restricts where an injury lawsuit may be brought. Thus, an injured passenger must submit to the jurisdiction of the state where the cruise ship company has its corporate offices. This is usually in Miami, Florida. I typically work on these cases with local lawyers in Miami.

Dallas Maritime Lawyer
As a Dallas maritime lawyer and Dallas boating accident lawyer, I am aware of how a fun outing on the water can turn into a nightmare. On September 12, 2010, eleven people, including eight children, were taken to the hospital after two boats crashed into each other near the Lewisville Lake Toll Bridge, which is north of Dallas. The boating accident happened at about noon when one of the boats "T-boned" the other. The boating accident involved two boats which were rented by the same group of people from a local boat rental company.

San Antonio maritime lawyer
As a San Antonio maritime lawyer, I know that it is important to take boating safety seriously. Boating accidents happen quickly and can be deadly. Remember that a boat does not have brakes and water can drown you fast. Boating is not dangerous if a few maritime precautions are heeded. Here are some safety dos and don’ts which should be helpful:

Transvaginal mesh
As a Corpus Christi transvaginal mesh lawyer, I am aware of the numerous problems facing women after the use of this product. This medical device is often referred to as a bladder mesh, a pelvic sling, or transvaginal mesh. Vaginal mesh support systems are often used by doctors to fix pelvic organ prolapse, as well as stress urinary incontinence. However, they have been known to cause serious internal injuries.

Austin maritime law and low water levels
As an Austin maritime lawyer, I am aware of the hazards of boating on Lake Travis, Lake Buchanan and various other lakes in the area. These are beautiful lakes with clear water, and so they attract numerous water sports enthusiasts. However, the lower water levels in these lakes are causing a spike in water hazards and are forcing officials to shut down various public boat ramps.

Cantaloupe listeria lawyer
As a cantaloupe listeria lawyer, I am keeping up with the latest in this terrible outbreak. The tainted cantaloupe in question came from Jensen Farm's in Holly, Colorado. Jensen’s Farms has voluntarily recalled more than 300,000 cases of cantaloupe in seventeen states this week because of the potential listeria contamination. These states include Illinois, Wyoming, Tennessee, Utah, Texas, Colorado, Minnesota, Kansas, New Mexico, North Carolina, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arizona, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
The United States Center for Disease Control ("CDC") stated that the 22 people infected in this cantaloupe outbreak are in seven states: Texas, Colorado, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Indiana, Nebraska, and New Mexico.

Port Isabel and Harlingen lawyer
As a Port Isabel and Harlingen maritime Jones Act lawyer, I am always interested in the early history of this remarkable place in Texas. Port Isabel is found in Cameron County, approximately sixteen miles to the northeast of Brownsville. Port Isabel is connected to South Padre Island by the two mile long Queen Isabella Causeway.

Port O' Connor lawyer
As a Port O'Connor and Matagorda maritime Jones Act lawyer, I enjoy the history and beauty of the area. Port O’Connor, Texas is a real secret jewel between Galveston and Corpus Christi. It has tremendous birding, sportfishing and beach combing. In fact, the primary industry in the area is sportfishing (bay and offshore) and tourism. Shrimping is also an important industry. Hunters also enjoy the great duck, goose and alligator hunting. The surf fishing on Matagorda Island can be terrific. In the fall, many bull reds are caught, as well as some large sharks.

Actos Lawyer
As a Corpus Christi Actos lawyer, I am paying close attention to recent developments with Actos. On June 15, 2011, the United States Food & Drug Administration ("FDA") released a safety announcement ("Black Box warning") which told the public that the use of the medication Actos (pioglitazone) for diabetes for over one year may cause an increased risk of bladder cancer. Actos is made by Takeda Pharmaceutical. Actos now has to have information about the risk of bladder cancer on the he label of the medication.

United States maritime lawyer
As a United States maritime lawyer, I am fascinated by the origins of maritime law. The Osceola, 189 U.S. 158 (1903), a United States Supreme court case decided in 1903 is seen today as a paramount case where the Supreme Court determined the central rules maritime personal injury law. The Osceola was bound for the port of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Under the mate’s supervision, the crew, including the injured party, Patrick Shea, proceeded to execute the Captain’s orders. A derrick was put in place to raise the gangway. Once the gangway was swung clear of the ship, the front end was grabbed by the wind. The force of the wind pushed the gangway and pulled the derrick over, which fell and injured Mr. Shea.

Dredging accident lawyer
As a Texas dredging accident lawyer, I understand the many risks to workers when dredging passes and waterways. Many of Texas’ passes, ports and waterways are not naturally free flowing and deep enough for the various ships that use them. For instance, Port Mansfield, Texas was just dredged within the last few months. These passes have to be dredged so commercial vessels can use them. Dredging is often a dangerous and complicated task for the seamen who keep our commerce flowing.

The Port of Victoria
As a Victoria Jones Act maritime lawyer, I am impressed with the improvements to the Port of Victoria. The Port of Victoria is a shallow-draft port which was originally opened in 1968. It was first dredged to a depth of 9 feet, and has since been dredged to 12 feet, which is the depth of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (ICW). The Port serves the city of Victoria, which has a population of approximately 60,000, and the surrounding counties. It has a rail connection by Union Pacific, and has excellent road connections.
The Port of Victoria is a strong industrial center for the construction, chemical, steel fabrication and agribusiness industries. Fortunately, because of the Port’s excellent location, it should be able to take advantage of Texas’ energy-based economy. Indeed, the Port of Victoria should exhibit fairly strong growth with the expansion of oil and gas drilling in the area.

Port Aransas history
As a Port Aransas Jones Act maritime lawyer, I am very interested in the history of Port Aransas. Mustang Island, on which Port Aransas sits, was originally called "Wild Horse Island" because of the many wild horses (called "mesterios") which the Spaniards brought in the 1800's. There were many famous pirates on the island at this time also. Jean Lafitte, the French pirate, and his group of buccaneers spent a lot of time on Mustang Island in the 1820's until his death in 1823. People still think that his buried treasure is somewhere on the Island.
